Southern Wedding in Rustic – Vintage Theme Charleston

Reynolds Treasures was hired as the wedding planner for Cassi and Ben for their wedding on October 30, 2013.  This southern wedding with a rustic-vintage theme, took place in Charleston, SC at The Lake House at Bulow.  The colors were ivory, blush, and a touch of mint.  Let me walk you through the details of this gorgeous southern rustic vintage wedding!

burlap table setting

The bride requested white linens and burlap squares on the table, but left the rest of the design to me. The gold charger had some pinecones, pink glass gems, votives, and wood slices with messages written on them.

The vases were filled with water and cherry blossoms.  The water was luminated by a small light in the bottom of the vase, with a floating candle on top.

s'mores wedding favor

The wedding favors were set at each place setting.  The s’mores made a wonderful ending treat at this wedding.

mason jar centerpiece

On the cocktail tables, the centerpiece changed to a mason jar wrapped in burlap and lace.  The gold chafers were edged in pearls, and surrounded by pinecones, pink glass gems, mint wood hearts, and votive candles.

gift table

The theme was carried through on the gift table.  The bird cage was used for the cards.

The head table was decorated in the same theme with a burlap banner added to the front with their initials!

burlap and lace bow

The ceremony took place on the island at the Lake House at Bulow. The altar was constructed by the groom and his brother.  I added the lace curtains, burlap bows, and mason jars filled with flowers. Charleston Uplighting is now the proud owners of this wonderful altar!

wood piece on the aisle

Down the aisle of the seating area, six of these wood signs hung on the chairs.  Across the back row of the chairs were more burlap bows.
